Saturday Blog Hop: Holiday Baking

ree

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! This week our theme is all about Holiday Baking - anyone else ready for the season of gingersnaps & sugar cookies?🙋🏼‍♀️ This was kind of the inspiration for my card - cute little gingerbread men, candy canes & peppermints!

Stampin' Up! Merry Christmas Card Idea.

Products Used

  • Colour Combo: Pool Party, Petal Pink, Real Red & Pecan Pie

  • Stamp Set: This is the first time I used this awesome 'Merry Christmas' Stamp and I LOVE it!

  • Gingerbread Men: I used my 'More Than Autumn' Stamp Set (it's on the Last Chance Products List!), but 2 other awesome choices would be Homemade Treats and Gingerbread Man of course!

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Card Base:

    1. Cut Pool Party Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

      1. Score in half at 4 1/4".

  2. Card Front:

    1. Cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of DSP and adhere to card front.

    2. Cut out a rectangle in Petal Pink (I used the Textured Notes Dies).

      1. Stamp sentiment in Real Red and to make it pop, heat emboss it with clear powder.

      2. Add to card with dimensionals.

  3. Decorative Details:

    1. Add in your favourite holiday baking images! I heat embossed the little gingerbread man in white on Pecan Pie and stamped the candy canes in Real Red and coloured them in a bit with a Pretty in Pink Stampin' Blends.

    2. And of course this card wouldn't be complete without the Peppermints! I think I might need to stock up on these for the future 🤔.
