Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! The theme for this week was Kids' Valentines. My card is more along the lines of one that I could give to my kids. I thought that it would be fun to create a heart stencil. Believe it or not, this is not really something that I have done before! I'm really thrilled with the way that it turned out. It's so easy you are going to want to try it!
To create the stencil, I first punched a heart out of a piece of cardstock. The cardstock just needs to be large enough that you don't get ink where you don't want it! Then using my Blending Brushes and a fun cheery colour combo, I started adding my hearts to a piece of Basic White cardstock. I started with Polished Pink, then added Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay.
The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Basic Grey and cut out with a shape from the Potted Succulents Dies. I then layered it on top of a vellum heart that I punched out with the same Heart Punch Pack that I used for the stencil.
Then I just added a few fun embellishments, the stamped hearts, the matte dots and a little bow.
