Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme is a fun one this week. We were to create our own Card Sketch and then create a card with it. I thought that I would share this card layout that is one of my go-tos. I use it all the time! It always looks great no matter what products you have to use with it. I featured the Magnolia Mood Bundle today.
For this sketch, you split the card in about two thirds and then separate the 2 pieces with a strip of cardstock or ribbon. Here I used a 4 1/4" x 3" piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper for the bottom and added some texture to the top by embossing a 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" piece of Basic White with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. My strip is a 4 1/4" x 1/2" piece of Lemon Lolly.
Then you can add in a large element of your choice. I used the largest image in the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set. I coloured it with Lemon Lolly & Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. The last part of the sketch is a sentiment. This one comes from the same stamp set and was stamped in black and then fussy cut out.
Of course, don't forget to add your embellishments! I used 2 classics; linen thread and Brushed Brass Butterflies.
