Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! I really love these challenges where we case the designer. It's so fun to look through everyone's cards and try to pick one out, the tricky part is always narrowing it down to just one. This week we are casing Melissa Davies and I just thought this gift bag was the cutest! I've always wanted to try a rosette and I Ioved the colours and design she used here on the whole project.
I thought that I was going to make a card, but it actually ended up turning into a gift tag, which I think might be even better. The size of the tag is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (like a card), which makes for a fun size for a tag. The paper is Wild Wheat from the In Color 2023-2025 DSP and like Melissa added colour to her bag, I added drawn lines in the white spaces of the paper in Mossy Meadow and Misty Moonlight with my Stampin' Write Markers.
The rosette is Misty Moonlight, created with a 1 1/2" x 11" strip that was scored every 1/2". It took a little fiddling on my part to get it together, so I might need a bit more practice before I become an expert! The strip of Mossy Meadow DSP, the sentiment and the leaves all help to fill out the design. I used the Layering Leaves Stamp Set and stamped in Mossy Meadow, Misty Moonlight and Wild Wheat. What a great fall colour combo Melissa!
