Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! If you've been following along with all of our colour themed cards this month, we have finally come to my favourite colour . . . yellow! Sunshine and yellow and lemons and the brand new Lemon Lolly colour, these are a few of my favourite things. This card was a fun one for me to put together.
I started by putting the sentiment right in the middle of a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped it in Crushed Curry (I thought it would show up better than Lemon Lolly in a sentiment) and heat embossed it with clear powder to help it to pop a bit more.
Then I went around the edge and stamped some lemons in Lemon Lolly, of course. I just used 2 of the lemon images that are included on the stamp set. It's actually pretty easy to only ink up the ones you want when you're going along the edge of the paper. The leaves add a little bit of richness being stamped in Shaded Spruce. This is then attached to a Crumb Cake card base and you have the perfect card to give to someone this summer!
