Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! One thing that I have learned about this year's In Colors, is that they are really easy to combine with Stampin' Up!'s classic colours. This week our theme was to take one of the new In Colors and use it with two classic colours. My colour combination is Tahitian Tide, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay.
These colours instantly give off a fun tropical and summery vibe, so I went with the Tropical Layers Dies for the leaves and this awesome camping sentiment from the brand new He's All That Stamp Set. My card base is Basic Black and then I added a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of this wood grain pattern from the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper.
I cut out a few leaves in the different colours to use as the main statement for this card. The sentiment was heat embossed in black on Tahitian Tide and cut out with the coordinating All That Dies. Before adhering the DSP to the card, I wrapped some of the Tahitian Tide Baker's Twine around a couple times and tied a bow to layer up behind the sentiment. And these super awesome Melon Mambo gems are from the Glossy Dots Assortment.
