Saturday Blog Hop: Plaid Perfection

This week's theme is Plaid Perfection, which is right up my alley! Plaid is always my favourite pattern and I especially love it at Christmas time! I hope this card sparks your creativity and then be sure to check out everyone else projects for even more ideas!

Products Used

• Paper: 'Timeless Christmas'. I just love this fun bright plaid in Poppy Parade. I've been turning to it again and again for my Christmas projects!

• Colour Combo: Poppy Parade, Peaceful Pine, Pecan Pie

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Thick Basic White Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut Polka Dot DSP to 4" x 5 1/4" and add to card front.

   3. Cut Plaid DSP to 3" x 4 1/2". Mat it on Poppy Parade Cardstock cut to 3 1/4" x 4 3/4". Add to centre of card front.

2. Sentiment:

   1. Cut Basic White Cardstock to 4" x 1 1/2". Stamp sentiment in Pecan Pie. Add to card front with dimensionals.

3. Details:

   1. Stamp 2 sets of holly leaves in Peaceful Pine on Basic White. Fussy cut out and tuck in behind the sentiment.

   2. Finish off with the Red & White Peppermints.

This would be a fantastic card to make multiples of! A simple layout that would be easy to duplicate.
