Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week's colour themed song is all about the colour green. I have been having fun making cards this month that are fun and summery, so I decided to continue that theme and make a card with Parakeet Party, one of the 2022-2024 In Colors.
This card would be perfect for a kids' birthday. The card base is Parakeet Party. The patterned paper is from the Zoo Crew DSP. When you have a black and white patterned paper, it can be fun to add in your own colour to make it perfectly match your card. Using a sponge dauber, I added Parakeet Party ink to the white areas of the DSP.
The fun sentiment is from the Kindest Expressions Stamp Set, heat embossed in white on Parakeet Party cardstock, cut at 2 1/2" x 3 3/4". I put it on top of a 3" x 3" piece of Basic White cardstock, just to help it pop off the card a bit better.
To finish off the card, I simply cut out this cutie alligator from the Zoo Crew DSP. Of course, what is fun about that DSP is that there are so many fun animals to choose from!
