Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week's theme will hopefully help take away some of the February blahs for you, it is Travels & Adventures. I personally don't have any of those on the horizon, but that doesn't mean I can't dream about it! It's been a long time since I've been anywhere hot and tropical, so that is exactly where I want my travels and adventures to take me.
The Island Vibes Stamp Set that you can still earn for free during Sale-a-bration (only a couple more days!) is so much fun and is perfect for this silhouette look on a card. I started with a piece of Basic White to create my background using my Blending Brushes with Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana. Then I stamped the palm leaves image in black on opposite corners.
I wanted the rest of the card to look fairly minimal, so I put it on a matte of Coastal Cabana cardstock and gave the image lots of breathing room on the white card base. I also really love this sentiment from the Flowering Tulips Stamp Set, it just seemed perfect if you are starting off on a new adventure! I heat embossed it in white on black cardstock and then just cut it to size. Once I added the twine, it was done!
Now, I'm off to dream about a sunny and warm tropical destination for my next holiday!
