Hello and welcome to the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week we are working on Valentine Favours. I decided to make this cute little box. It's a great size that would be able to fit any of your favourite Valentine's treats inside. Maybe a little bag of cinnamon hearts? Some chocolate? If you're me, you might be hoping for a coffee gift card. If you're my son, he loves all those little blind bags with a toy inside!
To create this box, you need to grab your favourite sheet of 12x12 DSP. I used the Pattern Party DSP to find this fun pattern in Pool Party.
For the tag, I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies and coordinated with my box by using Sale-a-bration's Sunshine & Rainbows DSP. Then using the Heart Punch Pack, I punched out a heart in another pattern (with the hearts of course!) and the larger heart in Polished Pink cardstock. The sentiment comes from the awesome Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Set. (A must have!).
Once you've assembled your box and filled it, tie it up with your favourite ribbon and make someone feel special on Valentine's Day!
Here are the basic instructions for you:
Cut DSP to 6" x 9 1/2"
On the 6" side, score 1" from each side.
On the 9 1/2" side, score at 3", 4 1/4", 7 1/4" and 8 1/2".
Cut on the blue lines shown below.
Assemble box.
