Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week is to make a card with a Zig Zag Fun Fold. I've been loving these challenges this month and trying out some different techniques and folds, I hope you've been getting some inspiration too!
Materials Used
To make this card, I used products that create an elegant look for Fall:
New Paper!: The Regal Distressed Specialty DSP will be in the upcoming Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue and it's so beautiful! Put it on your Wish List for September 4th.
Colour Combo: Pretty Peacock & Gold (so pretty!) Grab the matching ribbon in these colours to tie everything together.
Bundle: Changing Leaves. Perfect for the Season!
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare the Card Base: Cut Pretty Peacock Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 11". Score at 4 1/4" and 8".
Create angle by cutting from the top of the middle score line down to the next score line, about 2 3/4" from the bottom of the card.
Then cut from the bottom of the angle in a straight line to create the small section that is the front of the card.
Paper:
DSP on front: Cut to 2 3/4" x 2 1/2".
Gold DSP on middle panel: 3 1/2" x 5 1/4". Cut on an angle from the top left down to about 2 1/2" from the bottom.
Basic White: 3 1/2" x 5 1/4". Cut on an angle from the top right down to about 2 1/2" from the bottom.
DSP on back panel: 4" x 5 1/4".
Decorate: Heat emboss sentiment in Gold and cut out with coordinating die from the Changing Leaves Dies. Layer on top of leaves cut from Gold Foil and 10" of ribbon folded in thirds.
Inside: Stamp leaves on Basic White in Pretty Peacock. You can add a little colour to the inside of the leaf with a Blending Brush in the same colour. Stamp sentiment in Pretty Peacock on Basic White and cut out with coordinating die.
