This week with Create with Connie and Mary, we have a fun sketch challenge for you. I was able to use a whole bunch of my favourite products from Stampin' Up! on this card, let's check it out!
The background for this card comes from the fabulous Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper. I mentioned earlier this week that you are going to love that paper and I meant it! I think you're going to find you can use it for so many different looks. The next layer is Grey Granite cardstock cut at 2" x 5" and embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, which gives just the loveliest texture to any card. Then there is the Polished Pink DSP cut at 3"x 3".
Here is how I created the sentiment and embellishments. First there is a strip of Grey Granite cardstock cut at 4" x 1/4". Next is Basic White Twine looped like a bow to place behind the sentiment. To get this multicoloured "Thanks" from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set (a must have!!), I first stamped it in Pale Papaya. Then I used a Blending Brush and and added the Polished Pink colour just to the top of the word. I played around with this a few different times and then just picked my favourite one! The flower comes from the Pierced Blooms Dies, which make the perfect accent for any card.
