Last week was a lot of fun planning my Winter Craft Day! I offered 2 card classes, one featuring the 'Lovely Blossoms' Suite and one featuring the 'Joyful Square' Bundle. (Still interested? Tutorial option is always available!).
One of my favourite parts of a class is making favours to give to everyone who attends. I love to go with a fun summery theme for this event to push away the snow & cold from our minds! So this year I created projects with the 'Beach Boardwalk' DSP.
Â

Gift Tag
I love the patterns of Designer Series Paper where you can cut the DSP into 4"x 6" pieces and they each have their own full and complete image - like these awesome palm trees!
All the hard work of the tag is done by the DSP, then you just need to add a sentiment and you're done!
Here, I cut out a circle from the 'Joyful Squares' Dies, added a bit of Daffodil Delight with a Blending Brush and then stamped this perfect sentiment from the upcoming 'Springtime Scenes' Bundle.

Gift Bag
For this gift bag, you create the base with cardstock and then wrap it in DSP. The tag is easy to make by using the 'Heartfelt Hexagon' Punch to create a sunshine accent for the sentiment. The sentiment was stamped directly on the DSP and fussy cut out.
Here are the basic instructions for the bag for you.
Bag Base:
Secret Sea Cardstock: Cut to 5" x 11".
Score on the short side at 1" and 4".
Score on the long side at 5" and 6".
Burnish all folds.
Snip up the score lines made on the long side to create tabs.
You can angle cut a bit to make the bag easier to close.
Securing Bag:
Add adhesive to the outside of the small tabs.
Add adhesive to the inside of the long tabs on one side.
Secure bag by first folding in the small tabs to the side without the adhesive. Then fold over the outside flaps that have the adhesive to secure.
Pinch the top of the bag to close.
Designer Series Paper
Cut DSP to 3" x 12".
Score on the long side at 5", 6" and 11".
Burnish all folds.
Add Seal to all of DSP, except for the top 1" section that will be the closing flap for the bag.
Add the DSP to the cardstock bag by starting with the front section, wrapping around the bottom and up the back.
Ribbon
Fold the top 1" flap over the bag. Hold tight and punch a hole using any hole punch through all the layers.
Cut a 25" piece of Ribbon. Thread through hole and tie a bow to secure bag.
Favour Bag/Pocket
This is a great little favour if you want something more flat. It will easily fit a package of gems, treats or a card!
Here are the basic dimensions:
Cut DSP to 6" x 12".
Score at 1/2" down each side, then score in half at 6".

I hope you liked these fun ideas! Every month I offer a fun class, I'd love for you to take part in the next one! Stay tuned on my website for more information or be sure to join my email list to be the first to find out about new classes.
