Summer Colour Combo Ideas: Happy Hibiscus Bundle

I am a summer girl at heart, so this week it was time to bring out my favourite 'Happy Hibiscus' Bundle. On my YouTube Live (replay is below), I shared how to create these 2 summery cards. Each one has a great layout you can recreate and a fantastic summer colour combo idea.

Card 1

My starting point for both of the cards is my favourite summer Stampin' Up! colour . . . Summer Splash of course! It is the perfect shade and actually looks great with a lot of other fun and bright colours.

• Summer Colour Combo 1: Summer Splash, Strawberry Slush, Timid TIger & Daffodil Delight.

• Using the oval die from the 'Impressions Abloom' Dies, give a great focal point to the hibiscus. These ones I heat embossed in white first and then had fun adding colour with the small blending brushes.

• The Summer Splash Two-Tone Cardstock is perfect for the leaves. One paper, but 2 colours to layer up! (And it's 20% OFF until July 11th!)

Card 2

This second colour combo was a super fun one to try out. Instead of the big flowers, I focused on the embossing folder and the cut tiny flowers.

• Summer Colour Combo 2: Summer Splash, Blueberry Bushes, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party & Petunia Pop.

• I've used the Petunia Pop Two-Tone cardstock here as well. Again it's perfect for layering up with the dark and light sides!
