3 Classic Christmas Cards Featuring Stampin' Up!'s ‘Merry Christmas’ Stamp: Weekly Class To Go

With the holidays just around the corner, this week’s Class to Go is all about classic Christmas cards — elegant designs that feature the bold “Merry Christmas” sentiment front and centre. This stamp set is a must have for your Christmas crafting!

In this week’s class, I’m creating three different card layouts, all easy to copy and perfect for mass producing your holiday cards. You’ll also learn how to heat emboss the sentiment on each card to add that extra touch of shine and sophistication — a simple technique that instantly elevates even the most classic design. These cards would be wonderful to gift as a set or use for your own Christmas mailing this year!

Card 1

I wanted to give all the cards this week a classic Christmas feel to them, so of course I love the look of Real Red & Garden Green together. With the large sentiment, you can keep the rest of your card simple.

Heat Embossing: It's a little hard to see in the photo, but I've used Clear Embossing Powder with Real Red Ink. It helps to make the sentiment stand out and it also gives a richer colour.

Card 2

I love the more elegant look of this card and more muted colour palette.

Colour Combo: Green, Soft Sea Foam, Basic Beige & Gold
Tip: Add texture to your card to create interest. Here I've used an Embossing Folder, the gold embossed sentiment and the little strip of Velvet.

Card 3

Here's one more classic Red & Green Christmas card idea.

Again, the sentiment is the star of the show and you can keep the rest of the card fairly simple.
And really, you can't go wrong with plaid on a Christmas card - right?!
