Christmas is Gleaming!

This year in Stampin' Up!'s August to December Mini Catalogue there were a few returning favourites from last year's Holiday Catalogue, including one of my favs . . . the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set.

Not only is the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set still available with the awesome coordinating Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, but you can also get the beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper too! If you missed out on these products last year, you can purchase them all together as a bundle and save yourself 10%.

For this card I used the fun striped pattern from the DSP, and also stamped a background with the amazing holly stamp in Mossy Meadow. The ornaments are stamped in Night of Navy and Pretty Peacock and the punches make it easy to put your project together! They are layered on a piece of DSP that was cut out with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I may or may not be using some piece of that die set on almost all of my Christmas cards! The sentiment is also in this stamp set and was stamped in Pretty Peacock as well. The fabulous striped ribbon that you see peeking out is the Mossy Meadow Diagonal Striped Ribbon.

The colours in this paper are not my usual go-to's for Christmas cards, I normally need to get a little red in there somewhere! However, Pretty Peacock is one of my favourite colours and there is something rich and elegant about all these greens and blues together.

I thought it would be fun though, to also show you a card with this stamp set that did bring in some red, and also some plaid! I'm sorry, but I just can't get enough plaid and Stampin' Up! keeps bringing out the cutest paper!

Don't you just love this pattern from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper? I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green on another shape from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and punched out an ornament stamped in Cherry Cobbler. For the holly, this time I tested out my rusty Blends skills and coloured it in with Old Olive and Real Red.

So, which one do you like better? The blue and green or the red? If you don't already have a part of this bundle, you definitely need to try it out! The ornaments are also great for making simple gift tags. Be sure to check out below for a list of all the products I used on these cards.
