Thanksgiving is just next weekend already and this is always one of my most favourite times of the year. I love fall weather, the beautiful colours and just working on a spirit of gratitude. All of these things helped to inspire my card today.
Stampin' Up! has so many amazing products that can help you create the perfect fall card. One of my favourite themes for decorating at this time of year, is incorporating elements that give a bit of a rustic, natural feel. So, I thought that I would start the base of this card with some wood grained paper.
The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is a returning favourite from last year and if you do not have it yet, I consider it a staple for your crafting! It is a large package of paper (24 sheets) and is perfect for creating backgrounds for your projects. Seriously, pick some up today!:)
The rest of the card just came layer by layer. First, I pulled one of my favourite patterns from the Harvest Meadow DSP and positioned it to the top right of the card. The leaves are cut from the Intricate Leaves Dies and are cut out in Soft Succulent, BumbleBee and Pumpkin Pie, which create a lovely fall colour combo. (You know I love a good colour combo!)
The "thank you" comes from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set and was heat embossed in copper on BumbleBee cardstock. To finish off the card, all you need to do is add a little bit of ribbon or maybe some bling and you've got a lovely fall card!
