Saturday Blog Hop: Behind These Hazel Eyes

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Our song title theme for this week is 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' by Kelly Clarkson. I actually have hazel eyes, so this is a perfect song! (It's also my birthday today too!).

Our card needed to feature brown, green & gold. This was a different colour combo again for me, but I like the fall feel the card ends up having. Another fun challenge!

Products Used

• Colour Combo: Mossy Meadow, Darling Duckling & Pecan Pie.

• Bundle: 'Sunshine Vibes'. I've been looking for a way to use this bundle outside of rainbows, it has lots of great elements you can choose from.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Basic Beige Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut first pattern of DSP (from Painterly Pears DSP) to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". Add to card.

   3. Cut smaller pattern of DSP (from Painterly Pears DSP) to 4 1/8" x 2 7/8". Add to card.

   4. Cut oval out of Boho Vibes DSP, using the Impressions Abloom Dies. Add to card with dimensionals.

2. Sentiment & Embellishments:

   1. Stamp 2 sets of leaves in Mossy Meadow. Fussy cut out and add to oval.

   2. Cut out 2 sets of branches in Pecan Pie from the Sunshine Vibes Dies. Layer on top of leaves.

   3. Cut about 12" of Linen Thread. Loop anyway you like and add to centre of leaves and branches.

   4. Heat emboss sentiment in white on Pecan Pie cardstock. Cut to size and add over where all the other pieces meet using mini dimensionals.

   5. Cut out the stars from the Painterly Pears DSP and add to card.

   6. Finish off with a few of the Low-Profile Sparkle Dots in Mossy Meadow.

      
      

I think this is going to be a great colour combo for fall!
