Saturday Blog Hop: Birthday Wishes

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! We have a classic birthday theme for you this week. These are the best cards because really anything goes! I had someone in mind when I made this card who loves classic Black & White with a pop of colour . . . and who wouldn't love Petunia Pop!

Products Used

• Colour Combo: Petunia Pop, Soft Sea Foam with Black & White.

• Dies: I'm definitely not tired of these 'Pretty Florals' Dies yet! I love adding in the flowers and leaves to so many of my projects right now.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Petunia Pop Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut Basic Black Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4". and adhere to card.

   3. Cut DSP to 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and adhere to card.

2. Flowers:

   1. Cut the base of the flower out of Petunia Pop DSP (this one is from the Unbounded Love DSP). Cut out the detail in Petunia Pop cardstock and put together.

   2. Cut out a collection of leaves in Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Add a little texure with a Blending Brush and Soft Sea Foam ink.

   3. Add leaves behind flower and add to card with dimensionals.

3. Sentiment:

   1. Add your favourite birthday sentiment. I love this one from the 'With You In Mind' Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in white on Basic Black and fussy cut it out. I adhered it with mini black dimensionals.

Put on a few sparkly gems and you're all set for the next birthday!
