Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week's theme is Vintage Thanksgiving. This one was a little out of my usual style, but it's always fun to challenge myself with something new. We've moved right out of fall here in Calgary and already have a ton of snow, so I am dreaming about living somewhere else where there is still fall to be enjoyed!
I tried to go for a distressed look on my card. The base is Crumb Cake and then I added another layer of the same colour, cut to 4" x 5 1/4". Before I attached it to my card, I used my Blending Brush and Crumb Cake Ink to add some colour to the edge of the cardstock. I then lightly stamped the leaf from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set around the edge too. I tried to rumple it up a bit by using my scissors along the edge and just crinkling the paper.
Both pieces of the Rustic Harvest DSP are cut to 3" x 4" and I again used the Blending Brush to add a bit of Crumb Cake colour to each piece. To finish off, I added some more rustic elements like the Linen Thread and the Brushed Metallic Dots. The sentiment (from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set) was stamped in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla and cut out with the Seasonal Labels Dies.
