Saturday Blog Hop: Blue Ain't Your Colour

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Our song title theme for this week is 'Blue Ain't Your Colour' by Keith Urban. Here's a little fun fact for you - Keith Urban has been one of my most favourite singers since he first came out! I think I may have seen him in concert like 5 times 😳.

Now, typically blue actually 'ain't my colour', but I've got to say, Secret Sea & Cloud Cover are incredible new blues and I love creating with them!

Products Used

• Colour Combo: Secret Sea & Cloud Cover. 2 colours that basically go with everything, but also look fantastic all on their own.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Secret Sea Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut Cloud Cover Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/2". Add to card.

   3. Cut first pattern of DSP to 3 3/4" x 5 1/2". Add to card.

   4. Cut Secret Sea Cardstock to 3 1/4" x 5 1/2". Add to card.

   5. Cut main pattern of DSP to 3" x 5 1/2". Add to card.

2. Sentiment & Embellishments:

   1. Cut 12" of Cloud Cover Faux Linen Ribbon and add to card, folding it back and forth. I add mine with a bit of Tear & Tape.

   2. Heat emboss sentiment in white on Secret Sea Cardstock and cut out with the 'Spotlight on Nature' Dies. It fits perfectly! Add to card with dimensionals.

   3. Add on these adorable little 'Hues of Blues Flowers', another sneak peek of products to come in September!
