Saturday Blog Hop: Country Christmas

Updated: May 11, 2023

Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! We are stepping ever closer to Christmas and this week's theme is Country Christmas. I love the whole farmhouse look at Christmas and on a card I felt like I needed to keep it simple and natural looking.

Stampin' Up! Country Christmas Card

On a Basic White card base, I added a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that had been embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I thought the Gingham Cottage DSP would be perfect for this card. This is a 4" x 3" piece layered on top of a 4 1/8" x 3 1/8" piece of Real Red cardstock. (I may or may not be obsessed with plaid and gingham!)

I wanted a simple red, green, black, white and natural look for the rest of the card. The sentiment comes from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set and is one of my favourites at the moment. I added a little greenery (Christmas Banners Dies), a poinsettia (Merriest Moments Stamp Set) and some linen thread to complete the look. I really love how this one turned out, I hope you like it too!
