Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! It has been so much fun celebrating the new catalogue! The theme for the blog hop this week is to create a card with our favourite new In Color. This was a really tough choice for me. The more I've been creating with them, the more I've started to like them all! Orchid Oasis however, is just something special. I love this colour!
This colour doesn't actually make me think of orchids, it reminds me of pansies! Especially at this time of year. I was just at the local garden centre and there were rows and rows of lovely pansies and some were just the colour of Orchid Oasis. The pansies, from the Pansy Patch Stamp Set, were all stamped in Orchid Oasis with a Daffodil Delight centre. The leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green. The best part is the stamp set is still bundled up with the Pansy Dies this year for a 10% discount.
To bring in more Orchid Oasis, the sentiment was heat embossed in white on Orchid Oasis cardstock. Then, I added some lovely baker's twine and matte decorative dots that are available in all the new In Colors. I think this colour looks amazing with Petal Pink and that's what I used for the card base. The DSP comes from the Tea Boutique 6"x 6" Designer Series Paper, which also features all of the In Colors.
