Saturday Blog Hop: Jolly July

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! We love creating for you to give you some inspiration in your own crafting.

Did you know that we're on Instagram? You can follow us here @createwithstampingfriends.

Our theme this week is Jolly July. Of course we had to work in a little bit of Christmas this month! I've been having a lot of fun creating with the 'A Stitched Season' Suite. I thought that I would try to create a card with the suite that had a different feel to it than the other cards I have made. And it gave me a chance to work in my favourite peppermints for the first time this year!

Stampin' Up 2026. Christmas Card idea.

Products Used

  • Bundle: 'A Stitched Season'. I love the label pieces and the sentiments in this set, plus the adorable little hollys are the perfect addition to any Christmas card.

  • Christmas Classics: 3 products that get a lot of use at Christmas time: the 'Forever Plaid' 3D Embossing Folder, the Red & White Peppermints and the Red & White Baker's Twine. These are all essentials for me for the season!

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Card Base:

    1. Cut Peaceful Pine Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

    2. Score in half at 4 1/4".

  2. Card Front:

    1. Cut Basic White Cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5" and emboss with the 'Forever Plaid' 3D Embossing Folder.

      1. Add some colour by blending on Peaceful Pine ink with a Blending Brush.

    2. Add the Basic White to Poppy Parade Cardstock cut to 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and then add to card front.

    3. Cut the Candy Cane DSP to 3 1/2" x 1 1/2". Cut the Plaid DSP to 3 1/2" x 2". Add both pieces to the card front.

    4. Cut out the label from Peaceful Pine Cardstock and heat emboss sentiment in white. Add to card with dimensionals. If you like, you can add a bit of Real Red & White Baker's Twine behind.

    5. Cut out holly and add to card. (I used the In Color Pearlized Paper for the leaves)

    6. Finish off with the peppermints. I still love these so much!
