Saturday Blog Hop: Leaves or Trees

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! We love creating for you to give you some inspiration in your own crafting.

Our theme for this week is 'Leaves or Trees'. I just received September's Product of the Month, 'Luxe Foliage' Specialty DSP and was exciting to create with it right away. It's hard to get a good picture of the gold in the paper, but it's really so pretty in person.

Products Used

• Luxe Foliage Specialty DSP: There are 3 patterns, the one I used here in Pecan Pie, 1 in Peaceful Pine and 1 in Secret Sea.

• Stamp Set: 'Poetic Petals'. This stamp set is a part of September's Online Exclusives and I hope you didn't miss this one! I just love the sentiments on it. Will be a favourite for sure.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Golden Glow Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

   2. Score in half at 41/4".

2. Card Front:

   1. Cut Basic White to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8". Add to card front.

   2. Cut DSP to 5 1/4" x 4". Add on top of white.

   3. Cut a second piece of DSP to 4" x 3" and mat it onto the light side of Golden Glow Two-Tone cardstock cut to 4 1/8" x 3 1/8".

   4. Wrap white baker's twine around this piece twice, and then add to card front with dimensionals.

3. Sentiment:

   1. Cut out from the light side of Golden Glow Two-Tone Cardstock the 3rd smallest arch from the 'Everyday Arches' Dies.

   2. Heat emboss the sentiment in white.

   3. Add to card with dimensionals.

   4. Cut a second piece of baker's twine and tie a bow onto the other twine beside the sentiment.
