Saturday Blog Hop: Ready for Christmas

ree

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! I hope you're enjoying all of our fun Christmas ideas! I know I still have Christmas cards to make, so I'm always looking for more inspiration. This week our theme is 'Ready for Christmas'. I'm not too sure I'm ready, but having one more card done will help😄.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card Idea.

Products Used

  • Colour Combo: Old Olive, Pool Party with hints of red or pink.

  • Stamp Set: 'Christmas Greenery'. I've only made a few cards with this stamp set, but I do love how you can stamp the outline and just have fun filling in all the details with the solid stamp images.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Card Base:

    1. Cut Old Olive Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

      1. Score in half at 4 1/4".

  2. Card Front:

    1. Cut Pool Party Cardstock to 3 7/8" x 5 1/8". Add to card with SEAL.

    2. Cut Basic White Cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5". Emboss with the 'Forever Plaid' 3D Embossing Folder and add to card with SEAL.

    3. Cut DSP to 3 1/4" x 2". Add to card with SEAL.

  3. Decorative Elements:

    1. Stamp flower image in Memento Tuxedo Black and then fill in with the solid images. I used Old Olive (stamped off once for the leaves), Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo and Real Red (stamped off once for the poinsettia). Add to card with dimensionals.

    2. Heat emboss your favourite Christmas sentiment in white on Old Olive cardstock. I fussy cut mine. Add to card.

    3. Finish off with the Traditional Sparkling Sequins.
