Last week I was all about the bright colours for Christmas, so I really enjoyed playing with a softer palette for this week's theme, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Christmas Trees are one of my favourite decorations and traditions at Christmas. I just love pulling out all the ornaments and recalling all the fun or special memories for each of them. My tree is mostly with red and plaid, so it doesn't look anything like the trees I have for you today!
This die from the Christmas Trees Dies is so much fun to play around with. I cut these ones out in Soft Sea Foam and laid them on a piece of Basic White that was embossed with the Tasteful Textures 3D embossing folder to give it a nice soft feel. The ornaments are in Polished Pink and Petal Pink and I added a bit of Wink of Stella to each for a dash of sparkle. Lastly, I heat embossed in white the 'Fa la la la la' from the Holly Jolly Wishes Stamp Set on Smoky Slate and cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
