Saturday Blog Hop: Ruby Puts Her Red Dress On

Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! The next month of projects are going to be really fun. Each week's theme is a song title that features a particular colour. We're starting off with "Ruby Puts Her Red Dress On" and of course it's all about the reds! Good thing Stampin' Up! has so many fabulous reds to choose from.

To create this card, I started with 1" x 4" strips of cardstock in 4 different reds; Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Poppy Parade and Sweet Sorbet. I attached them to a 4 1/2" x 4" Window Sheet so that I could use dimensionals behind. Then I heat embossed this lovely flower image from the Shaded Summer Stamp Set in white. I love the simplicity of just the reds with the white, I think it looks so pretty!

The sentiment comes from the Framed Occasions Stamp Set and was stamped in Sweet Sorbet and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I can't resist embossing! I added some Sweet Sorbet Baker's Twine and white embellishments from the Classic Matte Dots. I love this sentiment and it could be perfect for a graduation or even a wedding, especially if the colours include red!
