This week's sketch challenge with Create with Connie & Mary was a great excuse to play with some new products and give you another sneak peek from the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up!.
I love this sketch, it is one of my favourites that I've done so far! I hope that you will also be inspired by it and use it in your own crafting! Of course, if you head over to Create with Connie & Mary, you will see what all the other fabulous designers made for even more ideas for you!
To create this card, I used products from the upcoming Hand-Penned Suite, including the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper and the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle. And what do you think about the new In Colour, Pale Papaya? I think it looks just beautiful on this card!
The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored in half at 5 1/2". The Pale Papaya cardstock is cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and the DSP is 4" x 5 1/4". To make the angled cut, I took a 4" x 4" piece of DSP. Then using a pencil, I just marked 2" up 2 opposite sides. Using my Paper Trimmer, I cut from one 2" mark up to the opposite corner. Then I did the same on the other side.
The fun whimsical circle die comes from the Painted Labels Dies (one of my favourite sets for sure!), cut out in Mint Macaron cardstock. I stamped the outline for the flowers in Memento Black. Then, one flower is stamped in Pale Papaya, the smaller one in Blushing Bride and the leaves in Mint Macaron.
The sentiment and the fun stitched scalloped detail both come from the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle. Just so pretty! I can't wait for you to be able to play with products from this suite as well! Can you believe the catalogue comes out next Tuesday?! I can hardly wait!
Until then, there are still some fabulous Last Chance Products available from the current Annual Catalogue:
