Sweet Baby Card with Sale-a-Bration's Counting Sheep

Alright, I really didn't think that I would try out the Counting Sheep Stamp Set or the Sheep Dies, but I was really loving all the samples I was seeing out there! I live in a big city, so there aren't too many sheep around, but sometimes it's good to dream about living in the country! I thought that I would start off easy and make a baby card with these fun little sheep.

When I started this card, I knew that I wanted to use one of those cute "ewe" puns that I've been seeing around, I couldn't resist! I mean, come on, it's so cute! I also wanted to create a soft texture on the card to go with the sheep, so I used my Tasteful Textile embossing folder on Basic White cardstock. I'm a huge fan of a navy and pink colour combo as well. I took a peek at my DSP and found a couple patterns that were perfect! The navy is from the Sweet Symmetry DSP and the pink is from the Hand-Penned DSP.

The navy square is cut at 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and the pink one is 3" x 3". I layered them on top of one another at an angle and then wrapped the white twine around before I attached them to the card front. My sheep got a little bit of colour with the watercolour pencils and was cut out with the coordinating dies. I think she looks pretty sweet and ready to welcome a new little one to the world!

These cute sheep are only available until the end of September, so be sure to earn them for free while you can!
