Colour Inspiration: CCMC660

For this week's colour challenge I have decided to use one of my favourite bundles, Pretty Perennials, to show off this great combination. And this card includes something retiring and something new . . . can you tell which is which?

Every other Thursday, I join with other talented designers on Create with Connie & Mary to share a fun combination of colours in order to give you some inspiration as you create your own cards. What do you think of the combo this week, are these colours that you have put together before?

Sometimes, when trying a new colour combination it can be helpful to pull out any products you have in those colours. Other times, you can start with a favourite stamp set and go from there. That is how my card came together this week, I just love working with the Pretty Perennials Bundle and have used it quite a few times already!

The base of my card is just a standard Basic White to which I added a So Saffron Cardstock layer cut at 5 1/4" x 4". I used one of the flower images from Pretty Perennials and created a tone on tone background by stamping it in a pattern in So Saffron ink. My new item used on this card is that cute Flirty Flamingo die cut, which comes from the Scalloped Contours Dies that you are going to find in the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. (It's almost here!).

I then used my Pretty Perennials Bundle to stamp and cut out a couple of the flowers and the word "happy". I just love using heat embossing for this stamp and then hand cutting it out. It always adds such a cute touch to the card! All that was left was to add a couple cute little butterflies in Seaside Spray and a little bow in white twine. This bundle is a lot of fun to use and you can decide how simple or elaborate you would like your card to be, add one flower or add a lot of flowers!

I hope that seeing these 3 colours together has inspired you to pull out your crafting supplies! If you would like to see some more samples, definitely head over to Create with Connie & Mary to see what the other lovely ladies designed this week! To see a list of the products I used that are still available, just see the end of this blog post.

If the thought of a new upcoming catalogue intrigues you and you would like a copy of it for yourself (and are in Canada), please just contact me and I would just love to send you one. Not only is it a way for you to see all the new products, it is also a fantastic idea book where you will find so many samples and ideas on how to create your own cards!

Until then, there are still so many fabulous products available from the current Annual Catalogue. Be sure to take advantage of some fabulous sales on the Last Chance Products, items are beginning to sell out!
