I'm so excited to be a part of the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This is my first week and I can't wait to share a new project with you every week. There will always be a theme and this week's is Gratitude or Thankfulness. In Canada of course, we have already celebrated Thanksgiving, so I have decided to share a card that is a great way to show gratitude for the awesome people in our lives.
I just purchased this stamp set, Brew Some Fun, and I have been itching to create with it! The base of my card features the In Good Taste DSP. Next is a layer of Soft Succulent, cut at 4" x 3 1/4" and then a piece of the Harvest Meadows DSP cut at the same dimensions.
The layers for the sentiment come from the Warm Wraps Dies. My favourite part though are the cute little coffee cups! I recently saw someone use their Wink of Stella to add colour and I just thought that was brilliant! I have never tried it before. I loved adding colour and sparkle at the same time.
For the inside of the card, I felt like you definitely needed a place for a coffee gift card. I simply cut a piece of the same DSP as the front at 2" x 4 1/4", put a little adhesive around the three outside edges to create a little pocket. I added another coffee cup because they were so much fun to colour!
