Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week is Pumpkin Spice Season and everything about pumpkins. It's always kind of funny in the fall how everyone gets really opinionated about Pumpkin flavoured everything. I love everything about decorating with pumpkins but actually don't like pumpkin in my food (don't hate me!). So, I'm happy to create this lovely card for you instead:)
To keep the pumpkin the star of the show, I wanted to keep the background simple. I haven't actually tried out this Dots & Spots Die before, but now that I have, I just love it! It gives such a fun look to your cards. I used the die on a piece of Basic White cardstock that was cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and I wrapped around about 28" of black twine before I adhered it to the front of the card.
Using the Rustic Pumpkin Dies, I cut out the pumpkin in Pumpkin Pie cardstock (of course) and the stem and curly cues are in Old Olive. I actually cut out 3 of the skinnier pumpkin pieces, along with the other piece, to create an even larger pumpkin. The sentiment is from the Amazing Thanks Dies and was cut out in black cardstock and Foam Adhesive Sheets to make it really pop off the card.
